Two Part Workshop: Screen Printed T-Shirts

Two part class on Saturdays: February 14th and 21st

12-3PM for each session.

$200 ($180 for members)

You can byo shirts or purchase ones from the PTCPD. In this class you will learn everything you need to know in order to print a one color design on a T-shirt. In our first session we will get oriented to the space, look at examples of interesting T-shirt designs, learn how to draw your own transparency, prep our screens and begin working on our designs. For our second session, you will arrive with your completed design, learn how to burn a screen, prep your work space, register your image, mix ink, and print shirts! We will have blank T-shirts for sale or you can bring your own (new or thrifted) No prior experience is needed to take this class. Bring your ideas! The possibilities are endless.

This class includes scheduled studio access on Tuesday 5-8pm during the week in between classes. Taking this class also waves your orientation fee and gives you proficiency to use the screen printing facilities should you choose to join as a member.

Teacher Bio: Claire Ragland is one of the founders of the PTCPD and a printmaker who specializes in screen printing and aquatint etching. She got her MFA in printmaking at University of New Orleans where she also worked as an assistant printmaking teacher.
