Two part series
Sundays - June 14th from 12-4:00pm and June 21st 12-4:00pm
Come learn how to design and create a two layer, two color screen printed poster. You will learn every part of the screen printing process, from coating a screen, drawing a transparency, to registering and pulling your first print. You will go home with a series of prints that you create! This is a two day class but you can come in to work on your design during open studio hours which take place every Tuesday from 5-8pm. Come with some ideas, drawings, and images to work from.
I want to leave the subject matter of this class open. Is there some kind of political messaging you'd like to create a piece around? Are you hosting an event and want to create a beautiful handmade poster? would you like to create an informational poster about your business or organization? We will look at examples of successful and compelling poster design, and the use of text and imagery to create a catching piece of art.
You can drop in for free during the Tuesday in between classes for open studio hours to work on your design. Open studios are every Tuesday from 5-8pm
